GUI Testing and Automated Test Generation

چکیده
The reader is introduced to the concept of automated regression tests in general as well as testing of Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) in particular. Some of the special problems related with the latter kind of tests are described. We then proceed to describe a special tool to help covering the enormous test space usually connected with complex GUIs: the PATHS tool, originally proposed in [1]. This is put into the context of the current state of the art in GUI testing.
